Food-for-Fines and more!

We are accepting Food-for-Fines until November 19th. We are also accepting food simply because you want to donate to our local Food Pantry at Thanksgiving - - no fines necessary!!!

Please bring in non-perishable food items from now until 11/19 - we will take them to the Food Pantry in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas distribution!

Pre-School Story Hour: Wednesdays @ 10 a.m. - stories, crafts, music, games






Library Board Meeting: Tuesday, October 11 @ 7 p.m. - public welcome




National Friends of the Library Week: October 17 - 22 Become a Friend of the Library!




Free Friday Family Film Fest: October 21 @ 7 p.m. - doors open @ 6:45. This month come and watch "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" with us! Popcorn and drink will be provided.






Food-for-Fines Begins: October 24 and will end November 19.



...and looking ahead to November... Local author Cassidy O'Connor will be here to talk about her new book Diaries of the Dark Side.









Cassidy was here in 2009 when her book Haunted Buffalo was first published.

Food for Fines Wraps Up

Our Annual Food for Fines Food Drive results are in. Thanks to you we will be donating 450 non-perishable food items to our local Food Pantry. See you next November!

On Saturday, November 14, local author Cassidy O'Connor will be here from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A talk on the paranormal and her new book, Haunted Buffalo: Ghosts of the Queen City, along with a book signing time are on the docket for the day. Cassidy is featured on the front page of the Nov. 5 ARCADE HERALD and on the front page of the SPOTLIGHT section (F) of "The Buffalo News", Sunday, October 25. Come and meet her in person!


FOOD FOR FINES is alive and well - - we will collect food until November 21st. (see Monday, October 26 post)
