Scroll down the right side of this page until you find "2011 Summer Reading". Click on Registration and Reading Logs. The first time you visit, select the tab that describes the program in which you are interested.
Stories and More is for readers in Grades K - 3 in Fall 2011.
One World, Many Stories is for readers in Grades 4 - 6 (or 7) in Fall 2011.
Independent Readers is for those of you who are unable to attend one of the above programs here at the Library but would still like to log your Summer Reading and qualify for small prizes.
New users click on the "Sign Me Up" button and there you go!

This Week at Arcade Free Library
Stop by for one of our programs:
Wednesday @ 10:00 a.m., Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers come with their Moms for stories and developmentally appropriate activities. They ALWAYS have fun!
Saturday @ 12:30 p.m. a few aspiring Writers will gather to share their current work and give each other a boost and encouragement. New people are welcome to come and check out our Writers' Group!
Saturday @ 7:00 p.m. a FREE movie will be shown for teens and 'tweens. Call the Library to find out the title. Doors open at 6:45. Refreshments are served. Our Books-to-Movies series is made possible in part by a grant from the Wyoming Foundation.

Summer Reading is off to a great start! We enjoyed stories, games, crafts and our very own bottle band this week. If you would like to join the fun, come along! Children going into grades K - 3 meet with Miss Sue @ 1:00 P.M. every Tuesday. Youngsters going into grades 4 - 6 meet with Miss Dona @ 1:00 P.M. every Thursday.

Our 'Friends of the Arcade Free Library' Annual Summer Book Sale 2010 is now a thing of the past. Thank YOU, one and all, for donating books, time and money to this very worthwhile cause!
Our next sale will be the second weekend in February (Winterfest). We begin collecting book donations in January.

To Read or Not to Read?
To read, or not to read: is that the question?

Our 'Friends of the Arcade Free Library' Annual Summer Book Sale is fast approaching...
......which means that we are accepting donations of your "certified", "previously owned" (a.k.a. "used") books for "reprocessing"...
......which means that you can finish up Spring cleaning and get those books* that need a new home into bags or boxes and drop them off @ 365 West Main Street anytime we are open!

Long-Time No Write!!!
Here is a quick list that will be added to as more events and activities are planned:
Tuesdays in July from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.: "Make A Splash - READ!!!" Summer Reading Program for children entering Grades K - 3 in the Fall.
Every Wednesday from 9:00 to 9:30 A.M.: "Rock and Read" for children ages 12 mos.-
Thursdays in July from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.: "Make Waves @ Your Library" Summer Reading Program for children entering Grades 4 - 6 in the Fall.
Every Friday from 9:30 - 10:15 A.M.: Pre-school Story Hour
(No progam on July 2, 9 or August 13)
Saturday, July 10: Friends of the Library Annual Summer Book Sale. Donations being accepted now! Please: no textbooks, encylopedias, magazines or Readers Digest Condensed Books.
Wednesday, July 21: Workshop with artist Michael Albert 10:00 A.M. 'til noon.
Saturday, July 24: Books-to-Movies Night for teens and tweens.
Come and see "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief"!
Tuesday, July 27 and every fourth Tuesday from 7:00 to 7:45 P.M.: Writers' Group for all writers and wannabe-writers ages 10 to adult. Goal of group is to meet needs of members including but not limited to: reading/critiquing each others' work, exploring how to get one's writings published, dedicated quiet writing time, etc.
